Thank God for Dads! They hug us, love us, teach us and celebrate us. Although many of us may not have had the opportunity to have a loving and nurturing relationship with our earthly fathers, we know that our Heavenly father can love us far greater than anyone.
So, today, as we take time to celebrate our Dads or our husbands or maybe we are only connected to our Heavenly father and not our earthly one, remember that we are precious children of God and that He loves us!
So, to take time to celebrate your father and other father figures in your lives and encourage them to pursue characteristics from our heavenly Father. Fathers are under a lot of pressure and go through a lot to provide for their families and just live lives of integrity as a man in this ego driven and selfish society. They need our encouragement and love and support! Be sure to say 'Thank You" and show your love today and every day that you are given a chance.
Here are some Bible verses for Father’s Day that will encourage them to keep on fighting the good fight and never give up pursuing the heart of God:
Listen to your father who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
1 John 3:1
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:58
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
1 Timothy 6:11-12
Let's take our time today to celebrate the wonderful fathers, men and mentors in our lives! They are God's gifts to us and we are blessed because of them! Encourage them, inspire them and most importantly... love them!
I'd like to take a special moment to shout out my Dad and My Husband! I love you both! xoxoxox
