ODE: Looks for the Future

There are some looks that are absolutely classic. There are some people who's presence suspend what time has changed. This photo shoot with my brother, Benjamin Coleman, is an ode to our history and our future.

This look was captured in Charlotte, NC, at Optimist Hall, a really dope spot for art, good food and creative collaboration. I absolutely loved our time there. Its aesthetics and vibe really helped us both channel our creative perspectives. If you're in town and have a chance to check it out, do so! Be sure to check out Undercurrent Coffee while you're there!

The look I pulled together is a result of some thrifting I did at Buffalo Exchange. It's a cute little spot on Central Avenue and I fell head over heels for these black, high waisted trousers! The pockets are deep and the crotch is low cut. Kind of like on trend Aladin pants! I love them so much! They look great with any shoe type!

The belt, by Anthropologie, was also a treasured find from Buffalo Exchange! I made the head wrap from some fabric I found at Hobby Lobby! I simply folded it over once, then wrapped it around my head, knotted it and tucked the excess under to create a turban look.

My jewelry and top are from Express and my make up was done myself, using High Definition Powder by elf, my favorite blush by NARS and the best mascara in the world, Lash Blast by Cover Girl.

Art is always created by reflecting the artist's love in tangible form. These pictures are so special to me, not just because they came out beautifully and in a beautiful location, but because my little brother chose me as his canvas!

As a former fashion model, I can honestly say that I have traveled around the country, been featured in

magazines, movies and TV shows and have worked with some very highly regarded photographers in expensive locations, but nothing compares with being captured by the eye of someone who not only knows you, but loves you!

Thank you, Ben, for this awesome day! This is my ode to you.

I love you, man!
